Three Henries Nominations for The Art File

7 August 2018

It's time to dust down the Tuxedo, shine your shoes, and make sure you have the perfect matching clutch bag for that ball gown you've been eyeing up ... It’s almost time for The Henries awards 2018! For those of you who haven’t heard about these awards- The Henries awards were set up to celebrate the 'best of the best' in the Greeting Card industry- named after Sir Henry Cole, the founder of the Greeting Card.

This year at The Hernies, The Art File is delighted to announce nominations in the Best License Category and the Best Christmas boxed card category. Sara Miller London and I Like Birds have both been shortlisted in the Best License Category.
The multi award winning designer has continued to successfully develop her brand with us over the past year, with more exciting opportunities already in the pipeline for 2019. Sara’s love of print, pattern and colour is evident throughout this unique collection. Each card is finished with flat and fluted hot foils and embossed lines, which together continue to wow customers across the globe. This is the second time Sara has been nominated in this prestigious category.

Another of our successful licenses, ‘I Like Birds’ , by Stuart Cox has also made the shortlist for the first time. We’re absolutely thrilled to be working with Stuart; his desire to combine his passion for nature with his love for design is reflected perfectly in his growing collection of 30 greeting card designs, now with matching gift bags recently launched at the Harrogate Home and Gift Show.
We’re incredibly lucky to work with the licensors we get the opportunity to work with- and we wish you both the best of luck in the upcoming awards.

Our 2018 Christmas collection has been recognized by retailers as our strongest collection to date, and we’re incredibly proud for our Christmas Boxed cards to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Christmas Box Category. Christmas is a vitally important trading period for all of us, and at The Art File we understand the need to create stylish, contemporary and unique festive designs for retailers.

Ged Mace, Managing Director had this to say about The Art File’s three Henries nominations this year, ‘  We are absolutely delighted to have been nominated for awards in both the Licensed category and Christmas Boxed cards category. It's a great morale boost for the entire Art File Team, and we look forward to attending the award ceremony in October.'

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who voted for the above collections- it really means a lot to us. Moments like this continue to make us strive onwards and upwards- and to continue to create unique and contemporary Greeting Cards, stationery and gifts for the discerning retailer.
The Awards evening will be held at the prestigious Lancaster Gate Hotel on 4th October. More information about the event can be found here http://www.thehenriesawards.co.uk/.
