National Thinking of You Week

18 September 2014

The GCA has launched a new special week to highlight the emotional power of sending and receiving greeting cards. The aim is to create a wave of love, caring and happiness across the nation by joining together to send a card a day to different people during the last week in September. (22-28th September)

The Art File, along with our retail shop, Behind the Red Door has got some truly fantastic plans in place for next week’s National Thinking of You Week.

The Art File shall be running a stall outside their offices towards the beginning of the week, offering a completely free card writing and postage service to members of the public passing by our busy city centre location- encouraging them to send a special message to friends, family and loved ones there and then. We’ve even managed to rope a Nottingham Rugby player to come and help out for a while!

Behind the Red Door will then be taking the reins for the rest of the week, offering a 2 for 1 service on all Art File Greeting Cards, as well as a lovely decorated table right in the front window of the shop with the Thinking of you Week images and promotional material attached. A separate table shall also be available to encourage our customers to write the card there, stamps will also be provided. Lucy, our shop manager, and the shop helpers have all be instructed by Karen on the event, so they will be educating our customers of the reasoning behind the week while this is all going on.

We really hope to get as many people in our great industry involved as possible, so if you’re thinking about doing an event in the week, or even just tweeting about it, make sure to check out the GCA website : http://www.greetingcardassociation.org.uk/news/national-thinking-of-you-week-toolkit where a toolkit is available.
