CLIC Sargent Visit The Art File
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Amy from the CLIC Sargent team to Art File head office this morning to talk about the support we give to the charity through our Christmas Charity Pack collection, along with discussing exciting ideas and movements from the Charity going into 2018. 48 pence from each charity pack sale goes directly to the charity. We’ve been working with CLIC for over 8 years now, raising a staggering £127,620 in total for this fantastic charity.
Amy White from the Charity had this to say about the ongoing relationship between CLIC Sargent and The Art File, ‘‘We would like to thank The Art File for their continued support over this Christmas season. We have now worked with The Art File for a decade and over the years The Art File have raised a staggering £127.620 for CLIC Sargent so far. We are so very grateful for the wonderful support over the last ten years and are looking forward to continuing to work with The Art File and raise more funds for CLIC Sargent so we can continue to support young lives against cancer.
When cancer strikes young lives CLIC Sargent helps families limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. Today, 11 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist cancer teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide. We provide a specialist package of support tailored to each young cancer patient and their family.
CLIC Sargent will fight tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can’t. We do this individually, locally and nationally, so they can focus on the important things like getting well. And if the worst happens, we will work with bereaved families to get them support, to help them cope with their emotional pain. The Art File have played a vital role in helping us deliver our services.
Thank you to the whole team at The Art File, you are a fanatic team to work with.’’
For those that are unaware of CLIC Sargent, they’re a charity that supports young people and teenagers who are facing Cancer. Alongside this, the charity supports the families of those who have been diagnosed also with financial, physiological and social support and care.
Billy’s house based in Nottingham, one of 10 houses in the UK that are managed by the charity. These houses are close to main Cancer treatment centres at hospitals, allowing families of young people with cancer to stay down in a homely, friendly atmosphere whilst receiving their treatments. This greatly helps families by keeping costs down, keeping the family together, and more importantly giving the young person a sense of normality in their lives. The houses also give the young people an opportunity to speak about their conditions with likeminded people.
CLIC Sargent, like many other charities quietly get on with vitally important work on a day to day basis; supporting young people with Cancer and their families in their hours of need. The Charity continues to strive forward. CLIC Sargent’s mission is to change what it means to be diagnosed with cancer when you’re young. They believe that children and young people with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care, and support, throughout their cancer journey and beyond. And they deserve the best possible chance to make the most of their lives once cancer treatment has ended.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our fantastic customers for continuing to support this great cause through our Christmas Charity Packs. Lives are being changed because of you.
