The Art File's Charity Packs Continue to Raise Money!
The Art File are absolutely delighted to announce that a further £18,000 has been raised for CLIC Sargent, through the sale of their Christmas Charity Packs. 48p from each sale goes directly to the charity. This is The Art File’s 9th year working with this charity, bringing the total raised so far to nearly £150,000. Which is fantastic!
CLIC Sargent, like many other charities quietly get on with vitally important work on a day to day basis; supporting young people with Cancer and their families in their hours of need. The Charity continues to strive forward. CLIC Sargent’s mission is to change what it means to be diagnosed with cancer when you’re young. They believe that children and young people with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care, and support, throughout their cancer journey and beyond. And they deserve the best possible chance to make the most of their lives once cancer treatment has ended.
The Charity also have a network of 10 houses. These houses are close to main Cancer treatment centres at hospitals, allowing families of young people with cancer to stay down in a homely, friendly atmosphere whilst receiving their treatments. This greatly helps families by keeping costs down, keeping the family together, and more importantly giving the young person a sense of normality in their lives. The houses also give the young people an opportunity to speak about their conditions with likeminded people.
For 2019, due to demand we’ve increased our Charity Pack offering to include the RSPCA, and Dementia UK, so we can increase our charitable giving going forward to cover a wide range of charitable sectors. We very much look forward to continuing to work with all three charities going forward into 2020 and beyond.
